Fab Five Star Weekend

Even short trips to The Abacos are worth it.  In a long weekend trip to Marsh Harbour old friends introduced new friends and memories were made.  Thursday afternoon Tim and Emmy Ragen, from Savannah, GA flew in to Marsh Harbour with five of their pals and we had one heck of a time!  That afternoon we went to Baker's Bay for a relaxing lunch and chatted about the excitement for the weekend ahead.  Friday morning we had lines in the water at 6:30AM in 2-3 foot seas, but ended up back at the dock around 9AM due to sea conditions.  Our friendly 2-3 foot seas became 5-7 foot seas.  Don't worry folks, this short morning trip was filled with lots of fun and success.  We reeled in Dolphin and Wahoo making it well worth the adventure.  By 11AM we were enjoying our fresh sushi and ceviche, and of course washed it down with an ice cold Kalik!  On Saturday's overcast late morning we all jumped aboard Five Star to fish inside the bay for a little bit where we caught Blue Runners and landed a beautiful Mutton Snapper.  Sunday morning arrived too soon as it usually does and my Fab Five Star crew made their way back to Savannah.  The moral of the story is this my friends: no matter the length of time, no matter the overcast weather, no matter the seas not cooperating, you have to make the best of what you've got.  There is always fun to be had in Marsh Harbour especially when you are in the presence of friends!
